What is the Dynamic Balance Project?
The Dynamic Balance Project is about staying balanced in today’s modern world. We are here to talk about solid fitness, finding a healthy clean food source, and staying mentally present. We are going to show you how to use technology so it helps and doesn’t hurt. We are going to show you that it is still possible to connect with people. Most importantly we are going to show you how to connect with yourself.

Let’s face it, today’s world is BONKERS. More so than 5 years ago and even more so than 10 years ago. Why? Largely due to constant evolving technology. Technology enters all aspects of our life: work, socializing, food, and play. Yes, these statements are declarative and anecdotal. Technology, the stuff that is supposed to make our lives more convenient is going to kill us. We produce more, are paid less, and are plugged in 24/7. We are inundated with endless media from war in the Middle East, the latest outbreak, followed by the 25 cutest cat pictures you’ve ever seen, don’t eat bananas they will kill you, get rid of those wrinkles with bananas (wait, you just said don’t eat bananas). Hold on… group text with your college friends.. never mind another one is pregnant or getting married, (bet you thought that text would be more exciting). Alright back to work. Hold on, another cat picture…
Hello, are you still there? Is your attention span long enough to read this? Maybe your brain feels a little foggy? You can blame that on our increasingly contaminated food source. We live in a world where a vegetable is the equivalent of an 8-Track. The FDA says we need a lot of whole grains and GMOs won’t kill you so what’s the big deal. Guess what, people will say a lot of things especially if it results in a fat wallet with vacation homes and a private yacht. Question authority. Just because everyone is doing it doesn’t make it right.
You feel like crap all the time because the food you eat is chemicals and your melatonin is depleted from being exposed to blue light all day and night (don’t forget to check that email that you won’t address right before you go to bed or Facebook to see what that girl you went to high school with had for dinner). You feel unwell, maybe you should workout more. Workout before and after work because you won’t have be able to do it during work because you will be forced to sit for 9 hours reading email after email, reconciling spreadsheet after spreadsheet, winning office politics, cat photo, more office politics, shorter deadline, did we mention office politics, etc. Better yet maybe you should pay $300 dollars a month for overpriced High Intensity Workouts without proper instruction, that will wreck your back, especially after sitting all day, all so you can do it with a group of people, and pretend that the technology, that is supposed connect everyone, hasn’t made you more disconnected than ever and your 1500 Facebook friends well… they really aren’t your friends at all.
Enough of the diatribe, you get the idea
GOOD NEWS! This can be fixed.
The world is still a good place where we have meaningful connections, healthy clean food, and you can live a long and mobile life. We are here to curate information and present resources that will help you achieve these goals. We also want to talk about our experiences so we can all work together to get back the the place we once knew.
